Come along and Learn a Distinctive Smoother Blend of Slotted Modern Jive!

Two left feet you say?  These JiveX classes taught by Andrew are open to both beginners and intermediates. In a two hour session of fun and laughter we get to grips with the basics and improver moves of smooth modern Jive... It's great fun dancing to modern popular music as well as old favourites and ideally suited to any age group!  JiveX is a distinctive style of modern partner dance that is based on Modern Jive!  Danced in a smooth slotted contemporary way, it stylishly combines Modern Jive with elements of West Coast Swing, Latin, Blues & Soul.  Taught and presented in such a way as to encourage partners to express themselves, both together and individually.  Our aim is to provide you with that Xtra something special when you step out onto that dance floor...

Our fun filled classes operate in the following format...

Doors Open 7.30pm

Warm up - Previous Lesson Review 7.40 - 7.45

JiveX Making Tracks Class  7.45 - 8.15

Freestyle practice

JiveX Smooth Train Class  8.30 - 9.00

Freestyle Open Dance Session  9.00 - 10.00ish

Don't worry about bringing a partner, it is not a fixed partner dance and we are a very friendly welcoming bunch of relaxed social dancers!

Please Note:

Refreshments:-  Fully Licensed Bar.

Clothing & Footwear:-  It's quite simple!  Wear something comfortable and loose fitting that doesn't restrict your movement!  With regards to footwear, be sure NOT to wear soles that grip the floor as you will need to be able to slide and spin comfortably without risk of jarring your knees.

Safety Notice!

In the interest of everybody's safety, we respectfully ask that all of our dancers refrain from wearing Stiletto heels on the dance floor!
